I Reset My Life… So Can You

The last time I blogged was last November on my second day of doing the Ultimate Reset. As I read the booklet that comes with the Ultimate Reset I took note that Isabelle Daikler warned that doing the reset may lead you to change many things in different aspects of your life. I don’t think I realized that day how profound the changes would be.

As for weight loss I lost a total of 12lbs while doing the reset. I learned that when I cut wheat gluten and dairy out of my diet that my rheumatoid arthritis drastically improved. But that was not where the benefits stopped.

The changes went way beyond the end of the program. I had been battling depression, I was able to take charge of that after doing the reset and won that battle that had been going on for a long long time. I started to feel empowered about my physical and mental health even more than I had been.

This past February I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd child. Without going into details that would hurt or embarrass anyone, the relationship between the father and I was not the most healthy and after I found out I was pregnant I decided that the best decision for me and my children was to go our separate ways. Pregnancy is very difficult for me physically and can be dangerous and I had people in my ear suggesting I terminate the pregnancy. I again took charge and said no, I do not judge others, but terminating a pregnancy would never be an option for me. I am far from perfect and I am not promoting having children without being married. But I knew that being trapped in an unhappy marriage or getting rid of my child would never be an option.

I currently have had to put my nursing on hold for the duration of the pregnancy and am staying home full time with my kids. We have had to simplify our lifestyle and make sacrifices. But I am 100% at peace with this and am actually happy. I am a strong woman and even though I did my Reset last fall, I attribute the mental clarity and confidence I am currently experiencing to going through that cleansing process.

The Beachbody Ultimate Reset has made me a better mother, a better friend and a better coach. If I can reset my life, so can you.

The Second Day

by Coach Tara RN on November 5, 2012

So today was day 2 of the reset and it was far harder than day 1. I have just been so tired all day that I had to take a nap and I have not been so motivated for all the cooking. Personally the food is great but I sure wish I had a personal chef. Also I think I have some major sugar addiction issues. I have been craving sweets all day BAD. So this evening my kids wanted a piece of cake that I had in the house. I was sooooooo tempted but to calm that sugar monster I had a few grapes and strawberries. Most of the time I would not consider that sweets but even with just 24 house of not eating processed foods they taste sweet to me and it helped.

There have been good points too. I feel so light. I normally have stomach issues but they seem to be calmer today. I work in the morning so I hope that I am not so tired tomorrow or it will be a long 12 hours.

So here are my highlights.

1. I have lost 3lbs since yesterday.

2. I feel lighter.

3. I am still tired all day.

4. I am fighting sugar cravings.

5. I have not had any caffeine withdrawal.

I will check in tomorrow and let you all know how I do with the cleanse while working.
